Thomas Kropik, born in 1967, brings with him over 25 years of national and international management experience in the IT and telecommunications industry.

Biography

After graduating from the Higher Technical Institute for Communication Engineering and Electronics in 1987 and completing a degree in business management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 1992, he began his career at IBM and HP Austria, where he worked for seven years in sales and project management. After a total of ten years in the IT field, in February 2002 Mr Kropik moved into the telecommunications industry, where he was responsible for the CEE region in the “international customers” sales department at Kapsch CarrierCom.

In 2007, he switched to Alcatel-Lucent, where he was managing director of the Alcatel-Lucent branch in Hungary until 2012. That same year, he founded the company ms-CNS Communication Network Solutions with his partner Dietmar Hirsch, which they continue to jointly run today as managing partners.

In addition to his professional sales and management activities, Mr Kropik has completed numerous training courses in these fields. Among other accomplishments, he is a graduate of the Academy of Business Consulting. His fields of speciality are the controlling and managing of sales and marketing organisations in the business-to-business area. Mr Kropik is the author of articles in mainstream and technical media as well as a speaker at industry conferences.

Dietmar Hirsch, born in 1975, brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the areas of planning, installing and maintaining telecommunications systems.

Biography

After completing his professional education in 1993, he began his career at ABB as an electrical technician in the area of low and high-voltage energy systems. After 4 years in that field, in 1998 he switched to the field of telecom infrastructure, where he was responsible for the installation and commissioning of telecommunications equipment until 2003.

After the takeover of this ABB business division by Alcatel in 2004, Mr Hirsch worked for two years on the planning and installation of telecom infrastructure for wireless and fixed networks. From 2006-2012, in his role as service manager, he was responsible for all Alcatel and later Alcatel-Lucent services at Telering and T-Mobile. Together with his partner Thomas Kropik, he founded the company ms-CNS Communication Network Solutions that same year, which they continue to jointly run today as managing partners.

In addition to his professional positions, Mr Hirsch regularly participates in technical and personal training courses. These include a multi-week Alcatel-Lucent project manager programme in 2011, earning certification as project manager.
